Default Stech Install Question

I'm in the middle of putting the Stech springs on my car (literally have both front shocks out and compressed) I read the directions tein sends with their spring and it says to replace the top lock nut. Well first of all I don't have a new top lock nut and I called a few auto stores and everyone would have to order them. Is it necessary to use a new top lock nut??

Expedited answers are much appreciated

you shouldnt need to compress the teins when putting the top hat abck on either, just have a friend push down on the top hat spring combo and install the nut. it will save you a lot of time.
