Default Sticking throttle

Evening all

I am getting a sticky throttle on my 03, there was some give in the throttle cable which I have tightened but the stickiness from the throttle is still there. Anybody had this before, is there a way to losen or grease the butterfly? Its caused me to stall a couple of times I am having to blip just before I set off to catch the clutch

Thanks

Clean the edges of the butterfly.

Do not spray anything into the engine. Spray a rag, put it over your finger, and clean the edges. Also clean where the butterfly contacts the tb.

Um, throttle body cleaner.

WD40 is great for many things. But its not the product for cleaning a tb.

Hello, I'm wondering what's the best means of getting into contact with you to order the tensioner as well as asking a few questions.

Is your throttle body factory original or a modified bored out throttle body ? Modified throttle bodies can often be sticky like that, I've fixed those issues by raising the throttle stop screw a very tiny, tiny, tiny amount. Honda doesn't want people touching the throttle stop screw , but as a last resort it can be done if nothing else works after you try the cleaning fixes.

It looks standard to me, doesn't always stick just now and then ( and usually at the lights ) I was think of pulling in the throttle cable so it just off the rest point.
