Default sticky gearbox

i have a 2000 with 43k miles that i've owned since it's had about 20k miles. i'm about to take it to the dealer to have it looked at, but since i'm out of warranty, i thought i'd get some input on this matter before i hear what the dealer has to say.

recently the shifter has been getting stuck in gear (engaged) when i try to put it into neutral, particularly when coming to a stop. i don't force it out, but as i'm decelerating i keep my hand on it until it gets unstuck and into neutral. not often but sometimes i have to tap on the gas to get it to slide out. also, the shifter is not as slick as before, meaning it feels grainy during some shifts. i have missed some shifts in my time, causing the loud buzzing/grinding sound, but not recently.

what do you make of this? clutch fluid? gearbox oil? i have not changed either since owning the car... thanks in advance for your input.

43K miles without changing any of those fluids?
The clutch, brake, tranny, rear diff fluid should have been changed a VERY looooong time ago. Even if it doesn't fix this issue (and it just might), these things should be done.

And a MY 2000 should have had it's engine coolant changed and flushed at the 3 year mark.
