125db? That's jumbo jet class. Way to go ...

Specs found in the mugen tech info for the S2000:

Standard / Mugen
Close to Exhaust: 95db / 94db
During Accelleration: 75db / 76db

which basically says nothing of the sound quality (does it sound throaty? raspy? tin canish?) and of the occupants experience. My main concern about exhausts is the latter. Apparently it's very easy to get all sort of nasty resonances that are extremelly bothersome even though the exhaust measures low on the decibel meter.

My Mugen exhaust is slightly damaged and I'm having it replaced. I'm tempted to order the Amuse Titan W (5.8kgs..., http://www.webamuse.co.jp/s2000_extra.html) rated at 93db and street legal in Japan. It does have the capped side pipe, ala stock exhaust, which makes me hopeful that occupant confort was taken care of. Is this unique on a/m exhausts?

If someone has any direct experience with this exhaust, especially from inside the car, please post. I would hate to get it, just to have to sell it soon after.

125 dB is equivalent to standing 200ft from a jet on takeoff, so I hope the exhaust isn't that loud!!!
