does anybody know when the recommended tune ups are supposed to be done ie. 15,000 etc?????

It kinda depends on what you mean by "tune up". Traditionally, this meant plugs, points, condensor, timing but these are not "normal" tune up items on this car. Maybe a better response to your question might be: "There is something that needs doing each and every 3750 miles." I just round mine down to 5000 km (or 3000 miles). There are also many things that a "shadetree mechanic" does to this car that the "book" doesn't tell you. Those things will only help extend the healthy life of the car. But for a non shadetree, such a person should read the owner's manual and follow the schedule for "severe" maintenance. Very few people would drive a car under "normal" conditions.

 

The short answer would be that all you have to worry about is plugs and fluids and valve adjustments. Per xviper I would recommend the extreme schedule for ALL drivers, and I would recommend cutting THAT in half if you do any racing or track events. I'd even cut THAT in half if the car is solely a racer.
