Default Stock Flywheel

I'm currently at 147k miles. I've changed my clutch once. My stocker lasted until 90k, spec stage II lasted until just now. It's slipping a bit.

How many times can I resurface my flywheel? I'm on a limited budget, and I'd rather spend $37 to have it resurfaced than $500 to save 7 lbs. I don't care about performance. I don't race my car, and it's my daily driver.

Also, I'm aware Honda recommends always replacing it. Honda also says to change your oil every 7k miles, but none of ya'll do that, do ya? =P

see if there is a clearance or wear measurement in the manual. I have resurfaced civic pressure plates 3 times with no problems at all. Also rather than buying an aftermarket, you could look into a new one from honda, it may not be that expensive. check majestic honda's website

id resurface it.
have the machine shop double check the flywheel ( most machinists would be able to tell how much life is left on the flywheel )

nope.... every 3k Oil change cost like what? 1 or two tanks of gas? I don't know about you, but seems pretty cheap to me considering it will keep your power good, keep MPG up and in general keep the car running longer.

Honda does not recommend resurfacing the stock FW at all. I would guess it could be done without problem if little is taken off. If it has little damage I would be tempted to simply sand it by hand with 100 grit paper.

Honda manual says new flywheel runout is .05mm, and the service limit is .15mm. If yours is beyond that .15mm, the manual recommends replacement. Resurfacing is not recommended in the manual, echoing the statement above.
