I have some issues with shifting from 1st to 2nd the gears crunch when i do it fast. I found out this is a know issue with the S and I was told Honda was working out it. Has anyone found any solution to this issue. How many of you out ther have the same issue.

 

Do a javascript:document.forms['search'].submit(); on second gear grind. You will find lots info. TSB 055 is the one that deals with second gear grind. It has something to do with synchro stacking problem?! Someone correct me if I am wrong.

 

If you have an '02, then the only thing you can do is adjust your clutch pedal to reduce the free play, and change to a better transmission oil. If it is hot where you live, you should switch to Redline MT90 or GM Synchromesh. If it is starting to cool down, then you should just change to fresh Honda MTF.

 

i have the same problem. my car is in the honda dealer right now getting looked at. this is its 2nd time there. the first time they couldnt find anything wrong. i told them about the tsb and they said thats only for 00 and mine is 01. hopefully they fix the damn problem this time.
