Run the car to temperature -- both fans run -- before bleeding.
Because of the pressure the rubber cap over the rear bleed needs to be held in place with a hose clamp.
The front bleed is on the left side of the engine just below the valve cover and may be hidden behind some hoses.

Rear bleed:
Front bleed:
THIS. As per description in the workshop Manual from Honda.
Took a few times but I got it sorted. It seems like cycling the AC to Heat and back and forth helped more than bleeding. Now the heat works, and we are at 3 bars on the temp gauge.
Bleeding the coolant is about 6000% easier (estimation) if you just use a coolant bleed funnel. Its seriously the most idiot proof method.
Its done thusly...
Put the heater blend valve full hot (key on, engine off). Blower at full blast.
Turn the key back off.
Open the intake manifold breather and pour coolant in. Wait til a solid stream comes out. Close the bleeder. Open the way upper rubber nipple breather. Pour coolant in until a solid stream comes out. Close that one up.
Start the car. Get up to temp with the funnel about halfway full.
Wait for no bubbles in the funnel and hot hot heat. And you're done.
You should have taken the opportunity to replace the aftermarket hoses with factory ones, and also make sure you have a factory thermostat in the car.
Hoses aren't leaking, and the stat is new. Dumped enough money in this POS lately. It's running cool for now. Its been driven so little the air's probably been in the system for years.
