Stretching Service

My new car has been delayed yet again (at least i have my existing S ) it was supposed to delivered in june, now looking more like mid august
however the dealer has said verbally that the deal still stands although i'll have put on nearly 8k more miles on it, & they will delay registration until sept for the new reg.

the question is :
i've already had to buy new rears & windscreen, and the 18k service interval has just passed , how will this affect the car if i dont pay for the service

i.e run for another 2k miles before trade in? the oil is topped up & ok.

is there any danger in this?
