Default Strut bar hitting CAI pipe

I have a question for anyone running a CAI and a strut bar. I have an AEM V2 CAI and a Cusco titanium strut bar. I can't run the strutbar without it pushing the CAI pipe down by at least 1/4 inch. I tried running a spacer between my chasis and the mounting point but then my hood wouldn't close. I was just running the strut bar for looks cause I don't feel that it provides much performance benefits. My cars feels much quicker when I take the strut bar off. Anyone have some insight.

Thanks,

Oren

you can a thin layer off by grinding the underside of the strut bar, since everyone know it's not even a performing pieces in our car.

you can't see it, no more rubbing=win

That sounds like an idea but I'd feel a little sick about grinding a chunk out of a $300+ strutbar. Thanks for the tip though.

that's your call, but it would actually increase resale value because it's a custom piece that fits most filter on a stick intake

another think you can do is running a smaller diameter bolt for the driver side mount, the play in mounting hole will pilot and compensate for the rubbing.
