Default Supercharger Issue/MAP/ESM

Guys-

I am chasing a problem with my Comptech SC and am looking for some input. My car is not making the horsepower it should and I am hoping to be able to resolve the issue that is limiting me.

I went out for a test drive with the mechanic and he used a Snap-On computer hooked to the OBD-II jack to monitor a few things. Here are two observations that he made:

1. The MAP reading (In.Hg) started around 6 and went to 29.9 under WOT acceleration.
2. The timing went from 44.5 degrees advanced to 14.5 degrees advanced.

My questions are:

1. Shouldn't the reading from the MAP be going down (as in there is less vacuum as the engine winds up)?
2. Isn't 30 degrees a lot of timing for the car to back out?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

1. Your MAP sensor is functioning properly. It is going from a closed-throttle, vacuum condition (6 inHg ~ 0.2 ATM) to a WOT, atmospheric condition (29.9 inHg ~ 1 ATM). Your assumption that there should be less vacuum at WOT is supported by these #'s.

What kind of HP is the car making? Have you checked the A/F ratio? VAFC installed? Any drivability probs?

Has your tuner got the extra Honda error codes for the S2000 in his scanner?
