Default Swerving Accel/Deccel problems

im having problem with my car and i cant figure out what it is

more noticeable at higher speeds
when i start driving and i step on gas the car kind of jerks to the right
and
when i let off the gas after moderate acceleration the car jerks back to left

so far ive checked
tires pressures
alignment
and brand new tires (all same age)

1 more thing to add...i recently bent a front right rim pretty badly but not sure how

Has it just starting doing this or did it gradually get worse?

A friend of mine had an old Volvo in high school that did exactly that. We laughed that he could change lanes by simply accelerating or decelerating. His was a rear-suspension problem and yours sounds just like it. Acceleration and deceleration forces may be causing your rear suspension to shift. From your description, it sounds like your left rear suspension is loose. When you accelerate, the force being applied by the rear wheels puts rearward pressure on the suspension. If the left side shifts back slightly, it would cause there to be a steering effect from the rear wheels, moving you to the right. The reverse is true when you decelerate or brake.

While there may be a different explanation to what you are experiencing, I'd sure check out the rear suspension. Sounds scary.

i know you said you checked tire pressure, but for good measure i would double check the rear. It's pretty finicky.

Don't worrie about this. Its over-steer or under-steer from what iv read. AP1 has over-steer and ap2 has under-steer. Mine does it to. At first i thought i was going crazy. The car does that on its own. I dont like it but its just what it is.
