Default Symptoms of needing a valve adjustment?

Just wondering what are the symptoms/sounds/etc of an engine that is needing a valve adjustment? Thanks.

i would like to know this also is it regular maintenance every xxxx miles?

also could someone tell me how often you should change your spark plugs

i wish i could use the search function but s2ki won't let me search for anything as of now..

You will hear a ticking sound from your motor. YOu are suppose to adjust your valves every 100k but I did mine every 33k. I heard if you drive in VTEC all the time you should do it more often though.

Most people are starting to do it every 30k.

if your valves are extremely out of spec it could cause a misfire....

as for the ticking noise, can you hear this while driving? or only when parked with the hood open?

can anyone else pitch in w/ the symptoms?

on idle...it will be noisy...you can hear the clicking...

thanks guys i think i'm going to have to have an adjustment. when i drive a hear this very soft ticking sound coming from somewhere under the hood.

As for spark plugs, are there any signs that you need to replace them?

you may need to rule out the TCT...

if the ticking gets faster when you apply throttle...its your TCT
