Thumbs up TCT noise description needed PRETTY PLEASE!

how does the TCT specifically sound? is it a loud tap/thud or more of a fluttering/high speed tapping. seriously can someone please tell me the exact symptoms of the TCT going bad??? pretty please?!?!

1. i've listened to soul coughing's video(i know thats not TCT but how does it sound compared to that).
2. what does the TCT sound like?
3. anyone have a sound clip of it?
4. do you ever hear it when the engine is cold?
5. is it only when the engine is warmed up?
6. how loud is it?
7. can you hear it at idle?
8. can you distinctly hear it bouncing off walls/car's when you drive by them?
9. what rpm does it sound loudest at?
10. does it go away above or below a certain rpm(don't confuse with other engine noise drowning it out because i'm wondering if it is always there above idle)
11. anything else i didn't think of thats a dead give away or not. please feed me information

*PLEASE* someone help me with this information. i really want to get an idea of the whole situation when the tct goes bad. i've read a lot of threads on it and no one really explained the whole thing. the bits and pieces posted about the symptoms are really sketchy and don't paint the whole picture...so please i ask of anyone to describe exactly what happens. do this not just for me but for everyone to know what to look for. thank you in advance from everyone that you will help with this!!!

One of the most common sounding problems would be duplicated by playing cards in the spokes of a bicycle. Mine were on warm up.

Seriously, man... you posted in the other thread, and we gave you the answer. In fact, here's the post that I quoted:

Hard to tell from your description. If it sounds like having a playing card in the spokes of a bycycle then it could be the timing chain tensioner. See the thread below as a possibility.

That's the exact sound being described there. It sounds like a bicycle with a baseball card stuck in the spokes. Most people report hearing it on warm startups, but the longer you let it go, the more frequently you'll hear it. When mine was at its worst, I heard it almost constantly. It's not common to hear at idle, but I usually heard it just above idle, and up to about 5000 RPM. Above that, all I could hear was engine noise. It was easiest for me to hear it just above idle, though. Just give a quick tap on the throttle.

If you want to know if you have a TCT problem, go buy an automotive stethoscope and stick it up against the back of the TCT. It will be immediately obvious.
