Default Tear on CV boot repairable?

When I was swapping out wheels I noticed greese inside my passener rear wheel, I was hoping it was from the road or something but quickly found a small tear in my CV joint boot.

The tear is allowing small amounts of greese to slow squirt out onto wheels.

Is it best to just replace the boot, or should I just get a new axle?

btw, are there any diy threads for cv boot replacements?

You can get a boot kit from the dealer, about 25 for the kit. It includes grease, boot band and clip.

Buy a boot kit before the CV joint is destroyed.

Search for 'boot replacement' Looks like there are some special tools required.
