The Tein CS spring rates are slightly firmer that OEM spring rates. I'm not positive on all the different spring rates between '00-'01, '02-'03, and '04's...

Stock spring rates ['00-'01]:
Front: 218(3.9) - Rear: 291(5.2)

Tein CS:
Front: 224(4.0) - Rear: 336(6.0)

When I had the Tein CS on my car lowered to a 1-finger gap all around they rode very smooth and felt like stock. Many members will agree with me that the Tein CS are very good for daily driving and feel like stock ride quality but with that lowered stance.

I guess I am more inclined to RA now. I bought my S not for the comfort. If I want comfort, I can drive my Passat instead.

I think I will like those occasional noises, too. It will remind me I am driving something really special.

It is time to call Jeff @ evolution.

Thank you for your advices.

Happy motoring!

Is the ride height of the CS adjustable?

Yes, the ride height is adjustable with Tein CS. I believe they can lower the car a max of about 2"
