Default Tensioner pulley

Was wondering if anyone can give me any insight on this.
Recently changed my serpentine belt and noticed some movement with the tensioner pulley (moves back and forth about 1mm or so).
Thought the pulley went bad so I went out bought a new one from honda. Torqued it down to specs and I'm still able to move it back and forth about the same as the old one.

So my question is, is the pulley supposed do that or is there something else wrong?

Thanks

The play is normal, because that is providing the tension so is in theory moving up/down a tiny amount all the time it has to have lateral play. I did exactly the same as you have done.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Would that also cause visble vibration on the tensioner itself? I can visibly see the vibration on the tensioner when the cars idling. It's not excessive amount but just a bit.
