Default Terrible Wind Noise

I recently purchased MY01 s2000, and everything is amazing except for the terrible wind noise... I've researched the topic a bit on the forums here, and discovered that the hardtop strikers were the common cause of the problem...

Ordered my hardtop strikers from hardtopguy, replaced, and no improvement.

I provided a few pictures below, but it looks to me as if the soft top isn't coming in contact with the window all the way. However, the latches are closing fine. I read a topic about how someone used washers to increase the amount of space needed for the latch to catch the striker, but I'm not too sure that would help. I'm getting a deafening amount of wind noise.

Also, if you put your hand to the top of the windshield, you can feel a small bit of air coming in. Nothing bad, and its been raining here the last couple of days, and it doesn't leak, but enough air that makes me nervous.

Let me know if you guys know of any other fixes I could perhaps do, or if I need to suck it up and take it to the Honda dealer...

ps - I'm an s2k newbie, so Howdy all! haha

Try putting a bit of plastic tubing on the latch hooks to see if you can get the top to cinch tighter. Is the wind noise reduced if you pull on the top with the hand grip.

Alright, I'll try the tubing. If you pull the handle, it doesn't give all that much. I guess if I were to put all my weight into it, I could move it, but no it doesn't really move enough to make a difference.

How thick of a tubing are you thinking of to press the hooks with?

The clear vinyl tubing that you can get at Home Depot is fine. The inside diameter should be wide enough to slide over the hooks.

One little trick worth trying is to hit the top-down switch a click or two while the top is latched. It didn't help me much but others have said it helped to seal the front edge.
