Just a heads up as I was reading this linked from another thread, the spring bolts are NOT suppose to be fully compressed like you mention in your first post here. They cant act like a spring if they are and the header may crack. I have nothing to contribute about the doughnut gasket fitting wrong

Yes you are correct, They are not suppose to be fully compressed. If you look at my later posts, I believe the leak is coming from the way the gasket fits on the test pipe.

Either way I am SOL because I bought a brand new tp and Berk is not responding to my emails regarding fixing this. I did everything I can on my side by using new hardware, donut gasket but this tp continues to have a leak. I took it off then and it's just been sitting in the garage. I'm pretty bummed by the support from Berk...

Yes I ran into this issue with I don't remember either my berk hfc or berk test pipe with plm header. A simple fix take your old donut gasket and cut it roughly in half or whatever you think you need with your angle grinder, and fitment is perfect.

Thanks for that option.
I'd rather not perform a hack to make it work.
My main goal for this thread is to get Berk to see that there is something wrong with their test pipes so they can stand behind their product and fix them. Paying for a new part, you expect their support....

Thank you for your contribution. It seems like there is an issue with Berks test pipe fitment. What size is yours?

I bought mine last year around August/September. Hope Berk see's this thread and will do some action.

If you look at the two pipes, the angles and geometry of the pipes are slightly different. I think this maybe contributing to the miss-fit, as much as flange issues.

I think the parts are designed to work with the oem header. From what I remember there is a small metal ridge at the flange of the header about 1/4 that seems to be the difference...been awhile

Doesn't look like you're going to get any help from Berk. How about adding some Permatex Ultra Copper gasket maker to the donut?
