Test pipe leAk help (BERK TP)
At least I've gotten someone on the phone each time, though he has not been much help always saying "he's not the tech guy, the tech guy is on vacation until 7/21/16..."
Thanks I will look into this.. otherwise trying to add washers before the springs (for good or bad?) was the only other thing I has not done.
I've had 3 different TP's and they all "leaked" and sounded like shit <3000RPM. I don't know if the pipe is actually leaking or if it's just the way it sounds with a TP because of the resonance it causes.
I now have a gutted Berk HFC with no issues.

Thanks for the info and pics!
I went around looking for these (or similar) locally without much luck.
I haven't driven my car for almost two weeks waiting for parts to come in etc, so I'm trying to get it done this weekend.
I end up picking something up that might do the trick. I'll let you guys know tomorrow.
thanks,
John

I was able to stop the leak using both s2000ellier (hub centric ring) and starchland (cut old donut gasket in half) advice of using something as a spacer before the donut gasket.
I ended up using what I could find locally yesterday, which were some exhaust flange gaskets I had ran into recently that were the right size. In my case, I stacked 3 of them to take up half the space available for the donut gasket.
They are high temperature graphite with steel core, so I was able to cut the edges a bit to round them out with a pair of multipurpose stainless steel scissors. I stacked them up, place the donut gasket in it's place, torque'd everything down to spec and turned the car on to hear the best exhaust sound I've heard so far for my setup.
That damn leak really ruined how this is supposed to sound
This ended up working for me so it might work for others. I'm going to give it some time, maybe a few weeks to make sure, but if all is good I can post more details (part numbers, etc) and pics.
Thanks to everyone's input and ideas.. much appreciated as always!
I'll post back in a few weeks.

I have a 63.5 Berk HFC and I'm encountering a rattle at between 2200 rpm only on cold start ups (within the first 30 seconds. After the car warms up, I can't replicate the issue. Anyone else encounter this? Bolts are torqued to spec, new oem donut gasket-- no visible signs of exhaust leak.
