Default Test pipe -> Vtec kick gone

I installed a test pipe with the oem exhaust, and now i don't feel anymore the kick of the vtec.
The acceleration seems to be smoother but i don't know if it's really a problem from the test pipe or the map sensor.
Is it normal to loose the kick with a test pipe?

Thanks in advance for any help

The test pipe is just smoothing out the powerband. The restriction of the cat probably just caused the powerband to dip and feel bigger when v-tec hit.

The cel is not on because there is special hardware mounting for the O2 sensor. It work well for the CEL but i didn't feel the VTEC. The car seems to work well but i'm so sad for the vtec feeling.
Sorry, i forgot to mention that my oil check is at the max with a good oil, and the engine's oil is always warm when i go till 9K.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I experienced the same thing when I installed a Spoon test pipe with my OEM exhaust. VTEC is still there, just without the VTEC "jolt"...don't worry, it's normal...
