Default Test pipe- What to do with the hole for the

If I am not going to use a 02 sensor and just deal with the CEL for a while, what should I do with that hole that was made for it?

If I just leave it open, won't it leak the air out? Is there something stock that will go there?

I don't want to , but I guess I will use the 02 sensor technique found here.

Thanks for any help

You can't leave the hole open. Get a short bolt and washer and put that on.

Not a real good idea to have a CEL on all the time. You'll never know if you ever get a "REAL" code.

You can order an O2 plug for that hole.

An older ford V8 spark plug will fit in the hole. Put a plug lead on it and hide the other end away out of sight. It will mess with the brain of anyone who notices it. The thread is a M18x1.5mm

Chris.

You can use a burned up/bad o2 sensor to plug the hole as well.

theirs another trick also.

you buy those spacers and lengthen the gap between the bung and the 02 sensor. its trips the airflow and reads normal. only problem is i forget what you need to buy, there was a thread on here about it, just i can't find it.

anyone know what im talking about...

This is what the "mechanical O2 simulator" is. This is also what the original poster linked to in his opening post.

BTW, you can also do what the "little Dutch boy did".

I've seen some of those videos with the Dutch boys and the dykes and all and I wouldn't recommend doing what I saw. You'll get some nasty burns.
