Hello UTH fellas,
Here is my situation, i'm trying to install my test pipe which i got from my gf for my bday a week ago...... but i seem to be stuck. below is a picture that should have a red circle of what i'm talking about.

this bolt is super stubborn and will not come off. my question is... is there a trick to get this thing off????

I ran into the same problem. Get a rubber mallet ,put the wrench on the bolt . One blow with the mallet and you'll easily be able to spin the bolts off using only your fingers.

make sure you take the nut off! and then just wiggle it.. or hammer it. check for a leak after installing your tp, as those bolts didnt provide enough torque for me (they eventually stop turning and only provide so much torque) and mine leaked, even with a new gasket on both ends.

I would've added some washers on those bolts if there was too much length to properly tighten it. Seems like an easy fix.


To the OP....some kind of penetrating oil or PB Blaster would help loosen those up.

6 point 12mm wrench.

If you can't get the bolt to turn it's either too rusted to save, or you are a girly man

600ft/lb impact wrench should do it....

That bolt looks to be in fine condition. Just turn that SOB!
