He could get his girlfriend to do it for him. Na man, Im just playin. The penetrating oil has worked for me in the past on those. If all else fails though, the mallet idea works too. Take it easy and good luck man.

hahahaha! you guys are funny. i'll try the rubber mallet thing, and this is a noob question but what does PB stand for.

ian- yes i had her try it too... i got the three backbolts out and the front two wouldn't budge i had to use a damn monkey wrench because my socket wrench wouldnt fit in there!

slows- i guess i'm needing to do more push ups and get rid of the girlie man status lol!!!

Soak the bolts with liquid wrench for a bit and that thing should pop right off!

You got an 07 and those bolts look crispy still. Put some muscle behind it and should break free. My 01 bolts w/ 40k miles were no problem. Might want to use the double wrench cheater bar technique to get more torque. Interlock two wrenches together with the box and open ends together.

If you don't have an air compressor, an electric impact wrench can be a lifesaver on many jobs:

You won't regret having one.

I would've added some washers on those bolts if there was too much length to properly tighten it. Seems like an easy fix.

To the OP....some kind of penetrating oil or PB Blaster would help loosen those up.
i m not sure if you can do that with the design of that bolt. a new bolt/nut is just an easy of a fix and you dont have to mess with the stupid springbolts.
