Default Are these things normal?

1. When i start the car I hear a very high pitched Whirrring noise from the front of my car. I thought it was my imagination however my friend also heard it. It might be also present when my car is idling with the clutch down.

2. When I put the climate control to all the way to the left without A/C it's still hot as all crap. I thought it was supposed to take air from the outside and well... since my top is down I know what the outside feels and this air is 20-30 degrees higher... it however is lower than when I crank it to the right.

3. Shifter is very notcy.. however I have read everything about it and I was wondering how much is redline?.. Or is that not a good brand of tranny fuild to use.

doesn't sound too far off.

1. do you have an aftermarket intake? does it continue to make noise after it's warmed up?

2. 20-30 degrees? that's crazy. if it's actually that much of a difference, go back to the dealer and see if it's under warranty.

3. notchy shifter is normal. change your fluid periodically. as to what brand you want to use will depend on what kind of driving you do. or how well you maintain the car.

look into the oil journals. it's a sticky in the technical thread.

Stock OEM intake. And the engine noise drowns out the squeel when it's moving or gets buried under everything.

Man... I guess i'll bring it to the dealer on a day it's supposed to be rainy or something like that... I guess i'll be accord bound for awhile.

#2: check that the lever (linkage) to the vent actuator motor is connected. Have your freind check under the hood while you move the temp control knob in the car. He he looks on the passenger side (next to the battery), he will see a little knob moving. make sure its hooked up to the lever next to it.
