I would think a bent valve would only cause exhaust noise if it was a bent exhaust valve. I see no reason a bent intake valve would cause exhaust noise.

Recommendation:

Get new engine.

Man you're good! I'll record the squealing sound that my Altima sometime makes when I start it up and get the diagnosis from you. There's no need to go to the dealership when we have this board.

BlackS2000Turbo,

What modifications do you have to your S2000? I assume that you have a turbo, but anything else? I'm just wondering if modifications like a turbo can lead to a premature engine failure or if it's just plain bad luck. Also, sorry about your lo$$.

Hey Sheister that squealing noise from your Altima at start up is the serpentine belt slipping, adjust tensioner and squealing will VANISH!!

Hey blacks2000Turbo: How many miles do you have on your engine? How many of those have you been boosting? And what pressure are you boosting at?

Just curious what the engine life is on an S2k w/ a turbo.

Larry,

if you car is dead for awhile, maybe you and Pete can try the ECU swap between cabin '00 and '02 boxes when he goes in for the dyno run monday...

are you going to try and get a stock replacement or build it with lower comp pistons, valves and such to pile on more boost when it is done?
