Things that make you go boom...
I think Larry actually is running my old ECU, which is a 01 ECU. I just remembered that. I guess this is the wrong thread, but who cares.
UL, do you think that boost would have contributed to this failure?? Or would it have happened anyways..
Now Larry can get a REAL motor for that S2000

Thanks for all the assistance and well wishes. Check out my thread in marketplace / for sale later tonight... I'm gonna get rid of anything I don't need to make the car run. Including my Volks.

High probability. I've said it many times in the past, but running FI on a motor intended to be NA is asking for trouble in the long run if you don't go to proper engine management. I've been there on my CRX, and I was a much happier (and safer) camper after I went to a fully programmable system. That the F20C is running 11:1 compression doesn't make things any easier.
Spun bearings don't happen on relatively young engines unless you're hammering the hell out of rod bearings with detonation, or getting insufficient oiling (or revving the shit out of it without sufficient lubrication). Even a well tuned FI S2K is still running too much ignition timing on the stock ECU and the fueling solution (adjustable regulator) is a bandaid at best that will not provide optimal fueling at all rpms.
This is not a knock on FI or any of the kits out there. Virtually every FI kit available does not come with sufficient engine management for my purposes - but they work fine for daily driving and messing around. However, if you want long life, maximum power, etc., etc. - you need proper engine management.
