Those that have Comptech springs and perches.
Finished installing them today but I do have a question for those that had done them. Did you follow the instructions as far as setting the perch heights? It appeared to me that the recommendation was too low so I raised it a half inch and am glad I did.. should have raised it a bit more. The car came out lower than I expected. Is it just me?
I have experimented with various suspension configurations and this is the latest. I have been a little frustrated with my custom Konis because the perch height is only adjustable in quarter inch increments and the units must be pulled and compressed to adjust those.
Rather than spend the extra bucks for a set of Koni perches and springs to match I picked up a used Comptech set from someone on the board. With a minor modification I have adapted them to work with the Konis so I now have continuous height adjustment. Finally have my car the height I want on all four corners!
I currently have the car setup about an inch lower in front and an inch and a half in the rear. The double adjustable Konis are handy to have.. I found that the Comptech springs are a bit stiffer than stock and needed a click more rebound (but no more compression) as compared to the stock springs.
Anyway the original question was.. did the your car come out the height you expected using the Comptech specs for spring seat height?

Yup. I think the specs were 1.5" lower if you used the Comptech specs. Good thing about the Comptechs is that they are pre-loaded so you don't have to wait for the "settling in" of the springs.
I had mine set for the Comptech specs, but the stock shocks couldn't handle that kind of a drop. The ride was ok at first, then when you go over small bumps, it was too bouncy.
Now I have the Zeals, but I wish I could set them to height of the Comptechs.
If Koni came out with their shocks sooner, I would've kept the Comptechs. Excellent Springs.
