Default for those that have/had the shakes

I suspect a correlation between the failing cv's and cars being lowered. Since the axles are so short to begin with, I think lowering the car even a little might make the angle on the inner cv's too extreme. Anyway, if your car has had the shakes, please respond to this poll.

Please do not vote if your car has not suffered from the shakes

Wouldn't you want the number of cars that have been lower but have not had a problem?

hmmm...

I have a CV joint making noise under high load only...
The car is not lowered but it will be sometime soon tho i'll likely lower it less than an inch.
I'll let you know what happens to the CV when its done.

I think there is also a milage correlation in this as well!!!! 35K shakes started.........10K later its going in to get serviced!(gotten much worse then when it started)

Edited: Non-lowered! Read other thread started by me on my progress.

RT, I agree completely.

Marty at Raxles received my axles last week, so hopefully a better mousetrap is on the way.

I have the H&R Sports springs and they lower the car about 15mm (just over half an inch). I got the shakes at about 30K Kms (approx 20K Miles).

I have an extended warranty but I'm very worried that they will blame the springs. We'll see next week.

Just an update - Marty didn't do a damn thing for me.

I sent the axles to Frank at driveshaftshop back around Christmas-time and I still have gotten nothing from him. He usually doesn't even respond to my emails.
