Default Threaded hole

Noticed what looked like an empty bolt hole on the block last night

can someone tell me what this is? Looks like something is missing. And yes, the vtec assembly is missing because I was working in it. Just noticed this hole while I was in there.

Rookie move, should have searched first. Others have asked, appears to be for engine removal/hoist.

Spare, nothing goes there. As said, used for engine install.

Some aftermarket products make use of this hole. Some engine torque dampers use it, and LHT has used it to mount an additional bracket to support kraftwerks supercharger (they actually modify one of the stock KW brackets by welding a custom bracket to it, and custom bracket is what uses this hole).
