Default throttle response

i dont know if its a stock setting, but i dont remember my 2000 s2k doing this. i have a 2006 s2k and when i'm driving and have my foot on the gas all the way the car seems kind of slow. and then i press harder and it goes down further. some of you may be saying, "well duh!" but i dont think this is normal. it feels as if it is down all the way. and then with an added extra effort the pedal goes down further. almost as if the pedal has an extra gear or something. any ideas??????

I'd say DBW system getting used to you. I had this problem initially, but now it appears to have gone away, save for a small "flat spot" in the powerband between 2k -3k rpms at partial throttle openings.

I'd like to know if someone has been able to tune out the flat spot (AEM or other ECU?). I still think it's an issue with the ecu.
