I have a 2008 base car with about 13,500 miles on it. I was on my way home from an autocross today and I got about 3 miles from home when I made a tight turn, put the car in 2nd and started to accelerate lightly out when all the sudden it feels like the throttle closed. I mat the throttle and nothing happens. I tap the pedal a few times and response comes back momentarily and then it feels like the throttle closes again. It does this for the next 2 miles. When I get response back I give it full throttle and the engine revs just hold where they are or slowly start falling. I give the pedal a few full depression and releases and it comes back momentarily again. By the time I got to my driveway it wasn't doing it anymore. Does anyone have any ideas what this might be? If it does it again tomorrow the car is going back to the dealer. I had already driven 60 miles on the road from when I left the autocross so I doubt it has anything to do with that. Also no warning lights of any kind came on when it did it. Any advice would be helpful. TIA.

 

this is why i never liked the idea of TBW. it takes away too much of the control of the car.

 

Check the plug on the TB...make sure it is secure.

 

Also check the MAP sensor on the throttle body
