ticking
So I didnt hear it till I pulled up to a drive through last night, and the sound was bouncing off the wall next to me, but there is definately a ticking coming from the engine bay...I checked my oil and it needs to be topped of a lil....but is this a common sound for this engine? maybe my valves need to be adjusted??

the injectors are very noisy. The valves can also make noise. the timing chain tensioner can make noise. you may have piston slap (somewhat normal). I wouldn't worry.. but NEVER trust a sound you hear bouncing off a wall. It is not a true representation of the noise the engine is making and shouldn't be used to judge a problem.

yah I have that sound too. Coming from my valves. I heard though thats its good if u hear some ticking from our older models. It means they are kinda loose, which is ok, but too tight is bad!
