Tips to get off crank case vent hose off
I'm trying to take off the crank case vent hose where it attaches to the red valve cover, and can't get it off for the life of me. I've yanked and twisted with all my might and it's not even close to budging. The hoses prior to this I was able to jam a screwdriver under and work them off, but with this surrounded by the red valve cover I feel like I'm low on options. The red paint is already starting to flake off from me accidentally touching it with the pliers, so I'm not sure what I can do. Any ideas?

Use a small screwdriver from the other side of the hose (which I assume is open), you usually only need a small gap to get it started.
Some wd40 or similar penetrant might help as well.
Otherwise just cut it off and get a new, much cheaper than repainting your valve cover

That worked perfectly. Put in a screwdriver from the open end (which wasn't open at the time) and went around the edges. Thanks! Hopefully the next hoses aren't too hard...I may be updating this.
