Smile Tire store mounted tires wrong

Ok, So here goes I have always hated taking any of my vehicles to anyone to have work done. However I think that some things you can not do yourself. For example: having tires installed and getting you car aligned. I took my s2k today to get new tires put on my factory rims. I watched every move they made except I could not see where they were putting the new tires on the rims. So as it the story goes I specified that 225's went on the rear and 205's went on the front. So before I get my car aligned they cannot get a rim on the front right. It will not fit on the vehicle. The mechanic ensures me it was this way when I came in. Also 5 of the employee's ensured me that they rim would not fit on the rear as they tried that already. It ends up so that I put a spare on my car and take it home. This is where it gets good. I start to look at the rear wheels and notice one of my tires looks huge on the rim. As soon as I got home I jacked my car up and changed all four rims. The car has a 225 and a 205 on the rear and a 225 and a 205 on the front. They mounted a rear tire to a front rim and a front tire to a rear rim. I am going in monday to eat some ass and get a free alignment and half off of the entire job.

i did not notice it because I did not think a place called tic toc TIRE would be retarded enough to put a rear tire on a front rim. Especially when this is your primary job and I already gave you a heads up. Secondly I was to busy looking at the front tire to realize the rear look like a cupcake.

Nothing is better than do the work yourself (if your mechanically inclined)

I don't consider the people that work at a tire store "mechanics."

Technicians at BEST.

I have had them mount directional tires on the wrong way, asymentriclal tires on backwards. Basically, anythign they can screw up, they have. Gotta watch them like a hawk AND doublecheck their work.

The oem s02 are marked 225 but are the size of a 245...so, just curious.
