Toda cams with a SC such as Vortech?
Would these help any with some tuning or is there to much overlap so you would be getting to much blow by out the exhaust and not be pressurizing the cylinder?
Not asking for myself but a friend.
You know who you are.

"I talked with cjb80 (turbo) about the cams and he said that the TODA cams are very similar to his modified cams."
Chris definitely thinks they will work nicely with the SC.

Here is my explaination...
The TODA cams are very agressive, and are made for NA power. One of the concerns that I would ahve with these cams on a supercharged car is the amount of overlap that there is. Overlap is when the exhaust and intake valves are open at the same time. In an N/A car this can be beneficial because the exhaust valves apparently create sucking effect which helps pull in air from the intake.
Forced induction forces air in the intake valves, so therefore the overlap doesn't help, it is just lost pressure.
On a turbo this can still be helpful, or at least not a problem because the air that shoots out the exhaust will still be used to power the turbo. This is not the case for a supercharger as it is belt driven rather than exhaust driven.
On a side note, the stock non VTEC cam has been described to me as a "lazy" cam, as it is very mild. The TODA cams have improved on this cam, which should help the low end alot, this would help no matter what sort of intake you have.
Anyways, The bottom line is that no one really knows for sure until someone does a before and after dyno. I have a feeling that it would be good for some power.
