Default Toda FlyWheel Weight

I just received my toda flywheel and I was wondering how much it is supposed to weigh. Because it doesn't feel like eight pounds. The box says it weighs 12 pounds. Does any one know the approximate weight. Thanks

i've got one too, and it also feels heavy (i haven't compared it to anything else).

could it be because all of the weight is in the center, or not spread evenly throughout the whole flywheel? (just a guess).

This morning at work I decide to weigh the flywheel. Well It actually does weigh 8.3 lbs. It actually feels heavier. Very nice piece. I will weigh the stock flywheel when I put in the toda flywheel.

Personally, I prefer the Toda, but I think they are all in the top 98%. I like the Toda, because it is the lightest (by an ounce or two, a tiny amount), and the best arrangement of mass, more towards the center....

but like I said, I think they are all sweet pieces. I'd like to hear other opinions, cuz it's hard to choose.....

my .02 bits.....
