Spec L2 looks to be the regular HiPower exhaust with different tips. I ran the regular HKS HiPower dual on my car for 15 years. Loved the sound, but the drone around 54-60mph was pretty bad, also droned at highway speeds, 70-80mph. It got tiresome eventually, so I went Mugen.
There is another HKS dual that is quieter, the SSM, which I have heard in person and sounds nice and isn't too loud, definitely quieter than the regular HKS dual, and the Spec L.

Man, really appreciate your quick response!
I’ve watched a few clips on YouTube as well. It does sound good.
Upon some research, it seems the L2 is a little quieter than Spec L. To meet the Japanese regulations.
More OEM+.
I also like the titanium tip even though it’s just screwed in. And the fact that is is half the weight to stock is enticing as well.
Does this video sound accurate? (I know this is L2, but I guess sound profile would be similar?)

This guy had a Tanabe Medallion - one of the quieter ones, and he said it's quieter than that.
Eh, he's only got track videos of his which isn't helpful at all. I'm having a hard time believing the Spec L2 is any quieter than the regular HiPower when most everything on it looks the same, tips are most definitely different but those aren't going to change the sound much. Btw, he said less drone, not quieter.

They say no drone, but listen in the 11 minute range when he's going slowly, the low rpm is droning, very bassy. 6th gear, at about 54-60mph you're gonna get some drone with that I think.
I haven't had one and can't comment on loudness/drone, but i'm seriously considering getting one now after researching this one more (mainly for the dual exhaust and that it's actually fairly light weight for a dual.)
This site - https://conceptzperformance.com/hks-...rPhTMGTm1NQ1sn is claiming 10kg (22lbs by straight math conversion). For reference the original Hi-Power dual is around 47lbs.
I currently have a Fujitsubo Power Getter Single at 18.2 lbs. I'm willing to sacrifice 4 lbs to have a dual, and while my exhaust for a single is quiet by aftermarket standards, it still does experience some light drone at certain sustained highway speeds.

You are right that he mentioned less drone and not quieter. I have read that Reddit post as well.
I’m not sure what other setup he has for his car on track. I suppose air box, header, test pipe would all affect the sound.
I was asking some shops here in Toronto. I told them my criteria was to be OEM+. I asked about Fujitsubo Legalis R, Mugen and TODA 60mm.
was told Legalis R is slightly louder than stock, TODA would drone and loud, Mugen is Mugen
then he suggested the L2.
He said compared to Hi Power, the L2 is quieter. Like you said bassier but don’t drone much.
I tried looking into it, L2 seemed to be JASMA certified. So I’m guessing it’s less loud compared to Spec L.

The dual exhaust is definitely attractive. That’s one of my criteria as well.
L2 being JASMA certified, I’m guess it can’t be that loud or droney. The likes of Mugen and Fujitsubo Legalis R, both are JASMA certified.
So far from the clips, I do like the sound.
Just concerned about how accurate the videos sounded.
Im definitely tempted with the L2
Fujitsubo is just way too heavy.
Mugen is hard to find
TODA is nice. But probably too loud for my liking.
