Default top opens and closes slow/needs assistance

OK, so I have an 06 and I've been procrasting to du the top while moving mod...I didn't know that whole glove compartment/holder piece could come out, like on my old 02 and 04. so I went underneath and cut what I thought was the right b/w wire..

After cutting the wire and trying it out, no change, but the top went up and down fine..After searching more on this site, I found out how to take out the large holder piece of plastic...There were no B/W wire on the top module, just 3 black. I cut the one that looks like the one in the picture and put it all back together...Now the top struggles to go up or down and I have to help it by pushing/helping it either way..

Question: Does the top have 2 motors and now it's only running on one? Those wires are really hard to get to, even if your 5'8..Should I try twisting them back together or just take to Honda and say, 'I don't know'...I bought it used, so that's the only thing on my side.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

cj

RE-DO whatever you did!
Pull the Passenger kick panel starting slowly from the bottom first (six clips total)
Cut or pull the White- Black wire out of the harness.

Thanks for the assist....Is there an easier way to reconnect those wires, since it' so difficult to get them twisted back together and there is no play.

I always solder and heat shrink to reconnect.

So, if I just cut the black/white(VSS wire) wire, I'd be able to put the top down/up even when the car's in motion?
Or do I have to click the e-brake a little to get it to work?
Thanks

Dan

All fixed...Be careful cutting those wires, and don't cut too close to the ternminal or you could be in for a hefty repair bill.

1 click is the best option, since you still have a safety net against accidently opening/closing the top at high speed.
