Topside Oil Changer

Topside Oil Changer
First off let me say I'm not particularly fond of lying under my car on jack stands. Not a comfortable spot for me physically (rotator cuff) or mentally (crushing death). I have a Pela Oil Extractor that I use on my boats.
Lots of people will say that unless you pull the plug you are leaving sludge or other solids in the pan. Heard it. I tend to think that warmed up oil as these particulates in suspension and will either flow out the plug or suck up the tube all the same. But I'm no expert.
These extractors are used a lot for other enthusiast cars that are particularly difficult to change the oil in. Some Mercedes and BMW's come to mind. I've even read they are the method of choice for some dealerships. Likewise some people have done comparisons by extracting all the oil topside and then pulling the plug and seeing whats left. Which brings me to my question:
Has anyone tried one of these on their S? How did it work? Did you pull the plug and see what was left? Thoughts?
Thanks

You'd be better suited with learning how to properly place your car on stands, and do it the old fashioned way. you should be under the car for more than like 30 seconds start to finish. I've read that thread RattleHead linked before, and would rather not have to pull my pan to clean up rubber hose bits and stuff.
Just my two cents. I understand the rotator cuff thing though. My shoulder is kind of screwed up too so i know the feeling

This will solve all your problems. A Fumoto valve. You can change your oil without getting under the S. Just slide an oil catch pan under or, if you use the nipple version, have a plastic hose deliver the amount you determine directly into a container.
You can do it all from just popping the hood. Some are concerned about objects hitting a Fumoto valve but if something hits this with enough force to cause a leak, I have way bigger problems. This is not an off road car. I did rotate the thing so it is upright and the valve lever is on the top. Millions of these quality things have been sold. It worked so well for me, I got another and put it on my MDX. Never drop a bolt again in hot oil and never get the hot oil on you either.
