IMO, this is one more reason techology is ruining cars. I'm glad my S doesn't have tpms.
You have no idea. Just because some idiots can't monitor their own tire pressures, means the rest of us have to spend money.

1)It's an extra expense when you change wheels.
2)Federal law makes it illegal for a service station/dealer to release the car to you if the TPMS system is malfunctioning, meaning, they can rape you.
3)It doesn't work well.

I think im just gonna leave em in my stocks and just have the light on the dash, doesnt seem worth the hassle. With my soft clutch and TPMS i sometimes wish mine wasnt an 08 but and older year so i didnt have to deal with this shizz.

Are you able to turn off your VSA without the TPMS in your car? I'm thinking of ordering wheels and tires, if I do I kind of want them to show up mounted which means I won't have the TPMS sensor in the first batch of tires. I would just like to understand the limitations. I understand the TPMS light will be on, but can you turn VSA on and off when the TPMS light is on?

Thanks.

Haha, this is EXACTLY what I was planning to do with my future tpms sensors - pull them out of the tires, put them in a pressured container, and drop it in the trunk. Glad to see plenty of DIYs on this now.

On my 2008 CR, I can turn off VSA without having the TMPS sensors inside the wheels.

I have tpms on my ap2v3 rims I bought for my ap1. I am going to try and remove them when I change tires, would there be any market to selling them as I will never need them , or should I just toss them out ?. Thanks for any replies.

-You might get advice to pull the fuse for TPMS so that you don't have the light on your dash, but like I said above, the TPMS system by law, is tied into the VSA system, so pulling one will disable the other.

The ONLY way to be able to disable VSA would be to pull the fuse, but that is ONLY suggested if you need to get your car unstuck from a snowy situation.
Totally 100% incorrect.

I track my car, and my TPMS light is permanently on. I most certainly can turn off my VSA.

The others who have stated that they can turn it off are correct.
