Default TPS....its starting to go

My Tps is going bad(so honda tells me) its reading 2.4 and it should be 4.8, 5.0. am i correct? When my car is warmed up the car will almost die in traffic...Rpms will drop if i give it a little gas when in neutral, like to the point of stalling.

Well Honda told me that i have to buy a new oem throttle body to cure this problem becasue the TPS is on there(not coming off unless i dremel a flat groove in it to unscrew it with a flat head, which i dont want to do, unless of course i have to.)

Im just wondering if anyone has had this problem and has found a solution that doesnt involve buying an oem throttle body just for the TPS....

Ive heard a few ways of fixing it but, its sort of half ass.
going to a junk yard and finding a s2k with an old TB (i dont think i would find one, but who knows)
or
buying an omni civic/integra tps and modifiying it to work on the stock TB.
If this is the only way of doing while saving a few $$...then i guess this is the path ill take, but for now maybe someone else has a better idea???

do you have a volt meter? you can test the tps to make sure that honda's readings are what its actually reading.

as far as finding a tps to use, try looking through the part out threads. you might pay a slight bit more for a used tb with tps than the omni power one, but it would be worth it to me.

throttle position sensor.

I want a new one just to be on the safe side and replace it, but I'm not buying a new throttle body because I have an SOS one...

Your sputtering could be caused by a number of things. Me myself don't like my dealership here and refuse to go there because they always try to tell me I need things I don't. Do a search on a "Map Whack" and see if that helps your issue.

used S2000 throttle bodies are a dime a dozen, there is a black powdercoated one for $150 right not on the for sale forum. You can post up in the WTB forum. I've got two spares myself if you are interested, I've got one sitting at a buddies place in TN that I'd sell and ship.
