I've used Honda factory oil, Red Line MT-90 and Neo Synthetic MTF and Neo Synthetic is by far my favorite.

Smoothest cold shifts without any notchness and zero grinding even after long hard drive (100+ consecutive miles)

I wouldn't trust neo synthetic farther than I could throw their headquarters. They make the same fraudulent claims that many companies have made before and are now under investigation/sanction by the FTC. VERY shady.....

One major energy loss in a vehicle's drive train is from friction generated in the manual transmission. The special friction modifier added to NEO's M T F, directly attacks this loss and substantially improves fuel economy. This has been documented by more than 1,000,000 miles of over-the-road testing in actual automotive service. The results demonstrated an average reduction in fuel consumption of 8% when compared to cars using conventionally formulated quality transmission gear oil. Additional testing in the laboratory and under controlled condition in test cars substantiated this figure.

Two of the players out there that can't be trusted are Neo and Royal Purple.

GM Synchromesh Friction Modified has been the best for my car.

If you can't see the picture I posted (problems uploading), the same product can be found at your GM dealership in a black bottle under the "GM VehicleCare" name with a blue (with artwork) label and the following part number: 12377916.
It shows up on the label as "1 #12377916".

I tried several Chevy parts departments using the AC Delco part number and it wouldn't cross reference in their system. I went to a GM dealership and had the guy look it up - and bought a case on the spot when he told me their regional warehouse had only one case left.

NEO is deceptive - and their tranny fluid has the viscosoity of water. They used to be cozy with GM for a while in the early days of syn (they were one of the first PAO users). Back then, Amsoil was a di-basic ester - later went to PAO - esters too costly and hydrolysis was a real risk.

Yep,I use the GM Synchromesh Friction-Modified and the LE601 In the Diff.

Both are smoother and with less gear whine.
