Transmission Bearing Failure

Default Transmission Bearing Failure

Does anybody know a way to replace the Rear output shaft bearing w/o removing the tailshaft housing? I tried a screw driver and a few other things but I looks like the tailshaft will have to come off to get it out.

Nope. Pull it.

whine coming from transmission, not diff, turns out it's galled bearings

That makes sense, I pulled the trans and reistalle d anew one last night, the old one is junk now.
