Default Transmission - Broken shifter flange

So, I bought an AP2 transmission from a member here and it looks like it was broken during transportation. Here's the picture of it:

I'm guessing I can get that welded back up or maybe even put back together with an epoxy putty or jb weld. Should I avoid installing the transmission or will a fix be good enough?

honestly that sucks.......but its really not in a high stress area so a simple weld job will take care of it. See if you can get the shipping company to pay(good luck )

Yah I figured it shouldn't be too big of a problem. Just gotta make sure the face is flush to get a decent enough seal to keep the crap out of there.

Find someone who can TIG weld and get it fixed before installation.
