Transmission Burn?
Accelerating in 3rd gear from 3000 rpm to 7000 rpm I noticed a slight odor which I associated with a transmission. Straight road, flat, I was already in third gear so its not a shifting into the gear issue. Is this normal for anyone else? Marvin
It's happening to me too!
First noticed it 500 miles ago during a launch, but recently I've experienced the same smell under normal conditions.
I've also noticed that while in slow-moving (crawling) traffic, I get a sorta jerky response while easing out the clutch. Plenty of revs though. It seems to be getting worse.
With only 3,200 miles, I can't believe this is happening!!!

MarvinB, same here was on 3rd already, some oil burn smell, they did not last long as it quickly went away, was doing b/w 6000 rpm and 8000 rpm. hope its just some residue oil splashed in the engine and somehow got burn when the engine hots up....
