Default Transmission fluid

Hey Guys, I was looking to put some new fluid in my tranny, and was curious what you guys were running. I heard some good things about the redline MT-90 fluid, and because my tranny is starting to feel kind of notchy, I was hoping it would help smooth it out.

Anyone see this as a bad idea? Any suggestions?

I'd stay with OEM fluids unless you track your car.

For about 700 km now I've got the MTL-P in there.
Works very nice in my 6 year old transmission.
IMO smoother then Honda MTF, cold or warm.
You can read about it (and all the other oils) in the Oil Journals on top of UTH.

Stick with OEM...Notchyness can be attributed to the OEM fluid needing to be changed.

I've used Redline MTL most of the time, with a 25-30k interval. Helped with notchiness and 2nd gear grind, but is not a cure.

GM SynchroMesh Friction Modified is also popular here, but costs the most and doesn't seem to last as long.

Nothing wrong with OEM either and is the best price.

You'll find that most any FRESH fluid will feel better.

I've been running redline MTL and it doesn't seem to be taking the notchy feeling from 1st to second away. I might just try the GM SynchroMesh out and see what it does for me. I've read in some other forums that the MT-90 helped, but seems like it would be too thick for the S tranny.. thats why I was curious if anyone ran it.

Redline MT-90 for the last 3K miles. No complaints.
