I've been running redline MTL and it doesn't seem to be taking the notchy feeling from 1st to second away. I might just try the GM SynchroMesh out and see what it does for me. I've read in some other forums that the MT-90 helped, but seems like it would be too thick for the S tranny.. thats why I was curious if anyone ran it.
I tried MT-90 the first time I changed my own. Depending on your climate it is fine in our car. Too cold of an area will make it extra crunchy in the morning until it is warmed up.

Using GM Synchromesh FM in MY00. The OEM fluid (which I was changing every 10k miles) would lend itself to the 1->2 grind a lot, especially under high rpm, high load shifts. I haven't had that problem with the syncrhomesh.

At 94k miles on the car, I'm willing to experiment a little, and I'm happy I did in this case.

I've stayed with OEM. Hey, they designed the transmission and know what it needs to function properly...

My transmission was shifting smoothly, so I saw no reason to switch. Went with Honda MTF.
