Default Transmission Fluid

I've been reading posts on transmission fluid, especially that of prolenes on GM syncromesh Transimission fluid, however I was thinking of going with AMSOIL ATF. What do you guys think about this brand and if you like it do you us the automatic transmission fluid or the powershift fluid.

Thanks

Unless you are wanting to be a trail blazer, why not try the GM Synchromesh? I searched all the threads I could find on the subject, and there wasn't really a "great" fluid to use. I changed to Synchromesh about the same time Prolene did, and I love it. I've gone from having several grinds per week, to having none (I actually did have 1 grind in the last 2K miles).

Did you try RL MT-90? I remember a thread where you were considering it. How do you think it compares to GM?

I don't like the Redline stuff. Compared to Honda anyway. I will have GM in the tranny by tomorrow afternoon.

So are you saying that the GM stuff might not be so good for winter? (You know the kinds of winter I get around here.)

Has anyone tried the KAAZ gear oil? I've used it in my Civic Si and had great success w/ it.

I have also used BG SyncroShift II in my Civic Si and it worked extremely well.

Just trying to get some additional ideas/input. Thanks!
