Default Transmission Leaking

Hello, I just purchased an 2004 S2000. Drives great and shifts smooth. When I got home then left again I noticed there was some oil on the ground. I jacked it up and saw a few drops of oil coming off the rear end of the transmission. It doesn't constantly drip when its running, but it seems to leak a little bit of fluid when I start it and even then it doesn't leak out every time I start it. Thinking its a gasket. Has anyone had this problem or know what the name of the seal is so I can buy a replacement?

Here are some pictures of where the leak is coming from, its circled in red

Are you sure the drain bolt is secure? Its just forward of that area. Is it possible it has a leak and the fluid is blowing back a bit?

The drain bolt is secure. Its coming from where the transmission and the secondary shaft connect, i believe it is the oil seal (http://www.hondapartssales.com/lisle...FSRyQgodzCYAcA) it doesn't have a number on the diagram though. Has anyone had to change one of these?

I dont think theres a seal or a gasket. Its only leak sealeant. It looks like maybe someone open up the tranny and didn't clean the surface or used too little liquid sealeant and now its leaking.

I believe it is liquid gasket sealant that goes between the front and rear transmission surfaces. Would that mean its leaking transmission fluid? It's light brown in color. I think it could be that the transmission fluid is overheating and isn't light red like it should be.

Automatic trans fluid is red. Manual trans fluid is just oil, so it is gold. Manual trans won't overheat in the same way an auto will either. Since you just got the car, you probably should check it to be sure it has enough fluid in it.

Put your finger in it and smell it, trans fluid stinks!
